Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion

The United Church of Canada celebrates two sacraments:  The Sacrament of Holy Baptism and the Sacrament of Holy Communion, also known as Eucharist or Communion or The Lord's Supper.

If you are interested in infant or adult baptism, please call our minister, The Rev. Janet Evans at 613-543-0509, and she will be happy to visit with you.

The United Church of Canada offers an open table for celebration of Communion.  That means that anyone who loves the Lord, Jesus Christ, and seeks to follow in the Way, is welcome at the table.  One's membership or denominational affiliation is not a barrier to receiving the gifts of God for the people of God.  All are welcome.

We serve the elements in two methods:  in the pews using small pieces of bread and individual cups of pasteurizd grape juice or by intinction where people come forward to the table, receive the bread and dip it into a common chalice.  For people with wheat/gluten sensitivity we provide rice crackers.  We rotate through the year with these methods of service.  We use the Prayer of Great Thanksgiving in seasonal variations.
